Responsibilities & Context:

Job Overview

The Executive / Senior Executive – Procurement will manage end-to-end procurement with a focus on vehicle-related items, spare parts, consumables, and repair & maintenance services. The role includes sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services to support transport operations. The position also oversees procurement of workshop services and transport-related contracts, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and quality standards while coordinating effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Source and procure vehicle spare parts, consumables, and maintenance materials; identify, evaluate, and maintain a reliable vendor database to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.

  • Contract & Service Management: Manage procurement of workshop services, repair & maintenance services, and transport contracts; prepare, review, and process service agreements and contracts while ensuring compliance and quality standards.

  • Cost Control & Negotiation: Conduct price comparisons, market analysis, rate negotiations, and prepare comparative statements to optimize costs without compromising quality.

  • ERP & Documentation: Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and GRN in ERP; maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and ensure audit compliance.

  • Coordination & Operational Support: Liaise with transport, maintenance, and operations teams for requirement planning; coordinate with workshops for repair and servicing needs.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgeting, procurement forecasting, and monitoring of vendor performance to ensure uninterrupted operations and resource optimization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Automobile Engineering or relevant field

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in vehicle spare parts, workshop services, or transport-related procurement will be highly preferred
