Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc / M.Sc degree in Microbiology, Horticulture, Biotechnology, Plant biotechnology or related field
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Aeroponic and hydroponic, Biotechnology
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Studying plants (mushroom/potato etc.), their environments, relationships, traits, and processes.
∎ Initiating different plant species into tissue culture and sampling plants and tissue molecularly.
∎ Ready to complete desired plant regeneration protocol in vitro technique.
∎ Explant collection and sterilization.
∎ Periodically subculture and shoot multiplication at appropriate shooting media.
∎ To ready appropriate rooting media and generate rooting plantlets.
∎ To make appropriate seedling bed or tray and fulfill plantlet hardening at a fixed time.
∎ Conducting fieldwork, collecting and testing samples, and recording observations.
∎ Testing the effects of weather, pollutants, pests, and other problems on different species.
∎ Analyzing plant responses and reporting possible trends, benefits, or concerns.
∎ Encouraging desirable traits through breeding techniques.
∎ Planting, maintaining and evaluating plants for disease resistance and other traits.
∎ Must comply with industry regulations and certification requirements.
∎ Keep following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), to keep exact, detailed records, and collect data.
∎ In charge of maintaining an inventory of chemicals, media, and stock solutions, and safely disposing of chemical and biological waste.
∎ Working with other team members to achieve project objectives.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 24 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Knowledge of plant tissue culture methods, Aeroponic and hydroponic plant cultivation system.
∎ Knowledge on net house Minituber production from seed plantlets.
∎ Willingness to actively participate in activities within and outside their area of expertise, including supporting plant production and screening in greenhouse and field environments when needed.
∎ Must be detail-oriented, organized, proficient in the following SOPs, and have experience in plant inventory management.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, research, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
