We are a 100% export-oriented, reputed Tent Manufacturing Company looking to hire an Executive - Industrial Engineering (IE) for productivity improvement and efficient manufacturing operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct time study, capacity study, and follow-up study of running tent models (cutting, sewing, welding, fitting, assembly, finishing) and set realistic line/section targets to achieve planned output.
Plan and ensure line feeding as per Operation Breakdown (OB) with the right manpower, machines, tools, jigs, and attachments; identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions.
Perform line balancing across cutting, sewing, welding, assembly, and finishing sections to improve line efficiency and throughput.
Prepare and maintain monthly skill matrix for operators and helpers.
Improve work methods and workplace engineering by optimizing layouts, material flow, ergonomics, and eliminating wastage of time, motion, and materials.
Analyze Non-Productive Time (NPT), identify root causes, and implement corrective measures to reduce idle time and maximize output.
Lead and follow up Lean Manufacturing projects (5S, Kaizen, waste reduction, flow improvement) to enhance efficiency and support cost optimization.
Finalize SMV and Operation Bulletin for all tent styles and buyer requirements.
Design and improve factory and line layouts while maintaining compliance and safety requirements to reduce material handling time and improve production flow.
Follow up on operator recruitment, update skill matrices, and support operator skill development and multi-skilling initiatives.
Conduct skill development training for supervisors and mid-level management on basic IE tools, techniques, and productivity improvement methods; evaluate training effectiveness and follow up.
Monitor and analyze Man-Machine Ratio (MMR), Cost per Minute (CPM), productivity, and waste optimization.
Identify opportunities to improve working methods through innovation, automation, jigs/fixtures, and technology implementation relevant to tent manufacturing.
Ensure operation standardization across departments to improve consistency and productivity; prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Prepare and present monthly KPI reports, efficiency analysis, and cost recovery reports for management review.
Develop and support a recruitment and placement system to ensure the right manpower is recruited and deployed in the right process at the right time.
