 Job Purpose / Mission:

Support the Head of Product Development by ensuring smooth and efficient product development operations within the Bangladesh Liaison Office (BLO). The Product Developer drives development activities with a high level of ownership and initiative, working closely with the European Headquarters to align execution with business priorities. The role requires strong coordination, collaboration, and planning to deliver on time development maintaining Stanley/Stella standards of quality, compliance, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities:

NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:

• Perform the internal assessment of all tech specs, and fabric brief received from HQ, ensuring alignment, resolving discrepancies, and delivering clear feedback to HQ.

• Execute all new, fabric, style, and accessory developments according to standardized SOPs to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency.

• Maintain timeline of development and perform internal evaluation of Proto and size‑set samples before submission to HQ

• Assess Fabric Technical Information before sending it to HQ.

• Conduct the seasonal risk‑analysis process by coordinating structured review meetings with HQ and the Local QAO’s to ensure early identification and mitigation of potential product risks.

• Maintain strict compliance with standardized SOPs for product‑development tasks across the team and suppliers to provide operational excellence and optimal service delivery to HQ.

INNOVATION & NEWNESS:

• Create multiple ranges of new fabric developments for each request aligning with market trends and supplier capabilities.

Organize a group of innovative products and fabrics each season to showcase the latest market capabilities to HQ.

PLANNING FOR MARKETING SAMPLES, LAUNCH AND CYCLE ORDER:

• Make T&A schedule, securing all projects to be delivered on time.

• Do timely follow‑up and on‑time delivery of Photoshoot, Sales, Team, Fair, and Collection samples, maintaining the required ST/ST quality standards.

NEW SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT:

• Execute product development with new suppliers according to ST/ST standards, confirming full compliance with T&A timelines.

• Plan and execute mini‑bulk cross‑development to assess supplier performance before bulk.

• Execute Cross Development of different styles with existing supplier & follow up.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION:

• Maintain clear and effective communication with HQ by different communication channels (email, teams, PLM) to ensure alignment on direction and deliverables.

OTHERS:

• Projects work delegated by line manager

Key requirements & experience

• Graduate/ Masters. Educational Background on Textile Technology will be added advantage for the positions.

• 4-5 years of experience in apparel merchandising and product development (R&D)

• Apparel expertise (factory experience is a plus) on Multiple product types (Jersey, heavy Knit, Woven, Outerwear)

• Prominence communication, Strategic thinking, Analytical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Having experience working in PLM will be considered as an added advantage.

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• High attention to detail and willingness to learn

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
