Position Purpose

To support the Engineering Department of Jamuna Group by assisting in civil, electrical and mechanical operation, maintenance and project-related activities at factory and site locations. The role aims to ensure smooth plant operations, compliance with safety standards and efficient execution of engineering tasks, including preparation of drawings, layouts and reports, under the guidance of senior engineers and managers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in routine operation, inspection and maintenance of civil structures, electrical systems and mechanical equipment at plant/site.

• Support senior engineers in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

• Prepare, update and review basic engineering drawings, layouts and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.

• Assist in site measurements, quantity calculations, basic cost analysis, report making using MS Excel.

• Help monitor plant utilities, machinery performance and basic troubleshooting under supervision.

• Participate in installation, testing, commissioning and modification of equipment and systems.

• Maintain engineering logs, maintenance records, checklists and daily/weekly reports.

• Ensure compliance with company safety rules, engineering standards, and statutory requirements.

• Coordinate with production, maintenance and safety teams for day-to-day operational support.

• Support vendor coordination, spare parts identification, material requisitions and work progress tracking.

• Participate in site supervision, quality checks and progress monitoring for civil, electrical, or mechanical works.

• Continuously learn plant systems, SOPs and best engineering practices applicable industries.

• Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Internship, industrial training or project experience in group of companies, manufacturing, construction, power plants or industrial facilities will be considered as an added advantage.

Preferred Educational Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.

• Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD is mandatory.

• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (data entry, calculations, reporting, basic analysis) is mandatory.

• Basic understanding of engineering principles, plant equipment and maintenance practices.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts and technical documents.

• Willingness to work in factory and site environments and in shifts if required.

• Good communication skills with a positive teamwork attitude.

• Basic knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint for documentation and presentations.
