Strong technical knowledge of knit fabric characteristics, shrinkage, and marker planning.
Hands-on experience with spreading machines, cutting machines (manual/auto), and CAD systems.
Ability to monitor production flow and manage multiple cutting teams.Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and data entry.Strong communication and coordination skills.

The position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all cutting activities to ensure accurate fabric utilization, quality cutting, and timely feeding to the sewing department. This position requires strong technical knowledge of knit fabric behavior, marker planning, shrinkage control, and cutting machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cutting Production Planning & Execution
Prepare daily cutting plans based on production schedules and knitting fabric availability.
Ensure timely execution of spreading, cutting, bundling, and numbering activities.
Coordinate with planning, sewing, and IE departments for smooth production flow.
Review consumption & ensure fabric utilization meets budget targets.
2. Fabric Management & Control
Check fabric quality (GSM, shrinkage, color shading, width variation) before spreading.
Monitor fabric lay planning and minimize end-bit wastage.
Ensure correct handling of fabric rolls, lot separation, and shade segregation.
Manage leftover fabric and maintain accurate stock records.
3. Spreading & Cutting Supervision
Oversee spreading operations to ensure correct tension, ply count, and marker placement.
Supervise the cutting process (manual/automatic) to maintain accuracy and precision.
Ensure proper numbering, bundling, and size/color segregation.
Verify that cut panels meet quality specifications and pattern measurements.
4. Marker Planning & Efficiency Improvement
Work with the CAD/Marker team to improve marker efficiency and reduce consumption.
Ensure marker accuracy for all sizes and styles.
Review marker efficiency reports and take steps to optimize layout and minimize wastage.
5. Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure adherence to buyers’ requirements and internal quality standards.
Monitor cutting defects and take corrective action to reduce cutting-related rejections.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and 5S implementation in the cutting floor.
6. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare daily cutting production reports, fabric utilization summaries, and issue slips.
Track WIP from spreading to cutting to bundling.
Communicate delays, fabric issues, and production challenges to management.
Coordinate closely with warehouse, planning, sewing, and QA teams.
