Job Context:
∎ Background and Rationale:
∎ At present IRC is implementing few constructions projects including PHCC. Due to quality check an assessment will be required. For conducting proficient quality assessment, in the assessment team one technical expert (Civil Engineer) is required
∎ Objective: The aim of the assignment is to provide technical support to the assessment team for conducting proper assessment of construction project.
∎ Timeline of Assignment: 11-24 January 2021
∎ Job location: IRC Bangladesh, Dhaka Office
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Scope of work:
∎ Perform as a technical team member of assessment Team for various construction activities implemented during last six months and special focus will be given for construction of PHCC of CAMP 11, Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar.
∎ Methodology:
∎ Proposed methodology should include (not limited to) following steps:
∎ Review of various construction project documents (Project proposal, Purchase Request, BOQ, Construction Design, Agreement with contractor etc.)
∎ Visit construction spot (PHCC camp 11) verify quality of materials.
∎ Review design and compare with actual construction work.
∎ Field visits to IRC’s operational areas both in camps and host community
∎ Participate interview process with concern IRC staffs and supplier
∎ Working under supervision of Senior Coordinator Ethics and Compliance
∎ Collected evidence including Photographs
∎ Work Schedule:
∎ 11 January 2021- Review essential policies of IRC to minimum sensitization about IRC.
∎ 12-13 January 2021- Review construction related documents such as Project Proposal, Purchase Request, BOQ, Construction design, agreement with suppliers
∎ 16-18 January 2021- Sport Check at various construction Projects of Ukhiya
∎ 19-20 January 2021- Participate interview process of concern IRC staffs and supplier
∎ 23-24 January 2021- Report writing
∎ Timeline of Assignment: 11-24 January 2021
∎ Key Deliverables:
∎ Provide a technical report based on assessment findings
Additional Requirements:
∎ B.S.C Engineering – Civil
∎ At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a construction project.
∎ Experience to work in an Assessment team of construction work as a team member is preferred
∎ Experience to work in a INGO/NGO for two years is preferred.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate and work with diverse people
∎ Excellent writing skills in English and Bangla
