Job Context:
∎ We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Embroidery Coordinator to join our team. As an Embroidery Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the embroidery process, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and facilitating effective communication between artists and artisans. Your in-depth knowledge of different embroidery techniques, color palettes, and fabric sizes will be essential in successfully executing embroidery projects.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various embroidery techniques, including but not limited to cross-stitch, crewel, beadwork, and appliqué.
∎ Possess extensive knowledge of embroidery communities and areas where embroidery work is prevalent, both locally and globally.
∎ Collaborate closely with artists to understand their design requirements and effectively communicate these specifications to the artisans.
∎ Match colors accurately, taking into account the artist’s vision and the available thread and fabric options.
∎ Ensure a thorough understanding of color palettes, including complementary, analogous, and monochromatic schemes, to achieve desired visual effects.
∎ Facilitate the smooth execution of hand embroidery projects, coordinating with artisans to deliver precise and high-quality craftsmanship.
∎ Provide guidance and support to artisans regarding design interpretation, stitching techniques, and overall quality control.
∎ Stay updated on emerging embroidery trends, techniques, and materials, and incorporate them into the design and production process as appropriate.
∎ Maintain meticulous records of designs, color choices, and project timelines to ensure accurate project tracking and timely delivery.
∎ Collaborate with other team members, such as designers, fabric sourcing specialists, and project managers, to ensure seamless workflow and successful project outcomes.
