Job Context:

The MCCHS Ltd. is inviting applications from qualified and experienced professionals for the position of Electrical Engineer based in Dhaka. This full-time role is critical to the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems across a range of residential, commercial, and institutional developments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced technical proficiency, project leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The position requires effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful and timely execution of projects. The candidate must be willing to travel and relocate to project sites when required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, and review electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, wiring, and control systems for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.

• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using industry-standard design tools.

• Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and safety requirements.

• Evaluate and select appropriate materials, components, and systems based on technical and economic factors.

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with national electrical codes, building regulations, and safety standards.

• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated and coordinated project execution.

• Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and technical assessments to support design decisions and identify improvement areas.

• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities of electrical systems.

• Develop preventive maintenance plans and troubleshoot system failures to ensure uninterrupted service.

• Maintain documentation including electrical schematics, maintenance logs, test results, and compliance reports.

• Stay current with emerging technologies, energy-efficient solutions, and sustainable electrical engineering practices.

• Support the procurement process by preparing BOQs, evaluating vendor proposals, and inspecting electrical equipment.

• Identify potential risks in electrical design or construction and develop mitigation strategies.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers or technicians as required.
