Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in solar power plant operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of relevant experience, including expatriate exposure, and the ability to lead a small technical team. This role will be responsible for ensuring efficient plant performance, maintenance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of solar power plant systems including PV modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, and switchgear.
Monitor plant KPIs such as PR (Performance Ratio), CUF (Capacity Utilization Factor), and energy yield, and take corrective actions.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of 3–5 engineers/technicians; drive accountability and performance.
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
Look after the AC/DC speed control system along with DCS system intermigration
Analyze faults using SCADA data and implement root cause analysis (RCA).
Coordinate with grid authorities and utilities for synchronization and compliance.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies and promote a safety-first culture.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for critical components.
Support commissioning, testing, and handover of new solar projects or expansions.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance and incident reports.
Liaise with EPC contractors, OEMs, and international stakeholders when required.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Electrical and engineering related works.
Prior expatriate (overseas) work experience is highly preferred.
Leadership: Proven experience managing or leading a team of 3–5 members.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of:
· Solar PV systems and plant design basics
· Inverters (central/string), transformers, protection systems
· Grid connectivity and synchronization
· Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, remote monitoring, and data analysis tools
· Familiar with FAS, BAS, ACS, ISCS, PSCADA
· Knowledge of electrical drawings, SLD (Single Line Diagram), and protection schemes
· Familiarity with testing equipment (megger, multimeter, thermal imaging, etc.)
Language Skills:
o Proficiency in English (mandatory)
Working knowledge of Chinese (spoken and/or written) is highly preferred.

o Willingness to work in rotational shifts or extended hours if required
o Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
