Job Context:
∎ Project Name: Strengthening Political Landscape (SPL)
∎ Directly Accountable to: Regional Co-ordinator
∎ Working Area: Rajshahi and Cox`s Bazar
∎ Project Profile:
∎ The project intends to demonstrate a community-led approach to instill democratic values in Bangladesh, and generate a new, more cooperative societal norm that rejects violence in the political process. This project is implementing in 28 Upazilas across 4 divisions of the country. The heart of this strategy is to build understanding, confidence and trust, among the people to foster cooperative efforts to mitigate electoral violence and produce social harmony at the grassroots level.
∎ To achieve its overall goal this project will:
∎ (iii) Implement the PAVE training program to increase participants` knowledge of constructive and non-violent ways of citizen engagement for mitigating electoral and political violence; and
∎ (iv) Facilitate the building of a functional network of influential and committed individuals to prevent electoral violence and foster peace-building.
∎ Position Profile: The Hunger project is seeking applications from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals for the position of District Facilitators to implement the project activities in Rajshahi and Cox`s Bazar. These are field-based mid-level positions. The successful applicants will work closely with the Project Manager with overall responsibility of implementation of project activities for achieving the organization`s ultimate goals.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To lead the project activities in order to achieve the project/organizational vision, mission and program objectives.
∎ To maintain linkage with related GO, NGO, Civil society and other stakeholders.
∎ To organize different training, meeting, workshops, and orientations with different stakeholders; especially political leaders.
∎ To ensure proper implementation of the project activities in line with project delivery work-plan.
∎ To develop and support Peace Pressure Group (PPG) in respective Upazilas.
∎ To maintain close relationship with local SHUJAN to ensure their active support in project orientation, participant selection and project implementation.
∎ To keeps an accurate record and electronic data base of all elements of the projects.
∎ To continuously review information and learning from field.
∎ To ensure the projects procedures, the required deliverables, the required standard of quality within the specified constraints of time and cost.
∎ To coordinate with the regional coordinator/ project manager and act as key focal person for overall project implementation in the project locations
∎ To provide support and leadership to community-based projects such as peace pressure group (PPG) in the working areas as needed.
∎ To prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly, six monthly and annual activities report and action plan.
∎ To frequently field movement for smoothly running all activities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Good knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and good typing speed both in Bangla and English.
∎ Minimum 5-7 years' experience in the development field.
∎ Socially active person with good networking skills
∎ Sound knowledge of socio-economic condition of the country.
∎ Good analytical, negotiating, communication and advocacy skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively in groups and independently demonstrate initiative and creativity when solving problems.
∎ Good organizing and communication skills, relation building capacity with team and people of all sectors.
∎ Good report writing skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Motor cycle driving skills and willingness to travel in remote areas.

Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Salary commensurate with ability, experience and skills of the candidate.
