Job Context:
∎ BARCIK (Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge) is a non-governmental non-profitable development organization. A group of development practitioners, researchers and social workers established BARCIK in 1997. The organization has been working in the fields of environment, biodiversity conservation and development with utmost commitment and purpose since its inception. BARCIK is looking for a well-qualified candidate for the immediate appointment of District Coordinator for its project titled `Strengthening the resilience of the poorest population to the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh which is being implemented in Shyamnagar and Ashashuni upazila in Satkhira district. The project is supported by NETZ-Partnership for Development and Justice.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance.
∎ Job Location: Shyamnagar/Ashashuni upazila.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ for experienced candidate, age limits can be relaxed
∎ Proven experiences on program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, micro finance, staff management, report writing and monitoring & evaluation. Clear concept/understanding on livelihood, human rights and mainstreaming gender and right based project dynamics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali. The applicant should have computer skill on MS word, Excel, Power point and internet applications. Experience on network/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila/district level administration and national level network and like-minded organizations. Should have Motor bike driving license. Willing to stay at Ashashuni/Shyamnagar Upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas. Candidate should have good knowledge on safe grading (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment). Only experienced candidates are requested to apply.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary BDT- 50,000-55,000
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary
