Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge (BARCIK) is a non-governmental non-profitable development organization. A group of development practitioners, researchers and social workers established BARCIK in 1997. BARCIK has been working in the fields of environment, biodiversity conservation, climate change and food security with utmost commitment and purpose since its inception. BARCIK is looking for a well-qualified candidate for the post of District Coordinator for its project titled `Strengthening the resilience of the poorest population of the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh to be implemented in Shyamnagar and Ashashuni upazila in Satkhira district. The project is supported by NETZ Bangladesh
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (up to the project period based on performance.)
∎ Job Location: Shyamnagar/Ashasuni upazila.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for program implementation and delivery;
∎ directing and monitoring program staff;
∎ designing and delivering trainings, workshops;
∎ program documentation and reporting;
∎ coordinating monthly action plans and team meetings;
∎ communicating with different GO and NGO agencies;
∎ local advocacy responsibilities;
∎ research and study-related activities;
∎ ensuring pandemic-related safeguards are in place at meetings, trainings, and workshops;
∎ crisis management as appropriate.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years working experiences with proven skill and competencies in Sustainable livelihood, climate change and resilience.
∎ Proven experiences on program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, report writing and monitoring & evaluation.
∎ Clear concept/understanding on livelihood, human rights and mainstreaming gender and right based project dynamics.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ The applicant should have computer skill on MS word, Excel, Power point and internet applications.
∎ Experiences on network/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila/district level administration and national level network and like-minded organizations.
∎ Must have Motor bike driving license.
∎ Willing to stay at Ashashuni/Shyamnagar Upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas.
∎ Candidate should have good knowledge on safe grading (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment).

Salary: Tk. 44500 (Monthly)

∎ 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary
