∎ Job Context: Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge (BARCIK) is a non-governmental non-profitable development organization. A group of development practitioners, researchers and social workers established BARCIK in 1997. BARCIK has been working in the fields of environment, biodiversity conservation, climate change and food security with utmost commitment and purpose since its inception. BARCIK is looking for a well-qualified candidate for the post of District Coordinator for its project titled ‘Strengthening the resilience of the poorest population of the impacts of climate change in Bangladesh which is being implemented in Shyamnagar and Ashashuni upazila in Satkhira district. The project is supported by NETZ Bangladesh
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (up to the project period based on performance.)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ At least 10 years working experiences with proven skill and competencies in Sustainable livelihood, climate change and resilience. Responsible for project implementation and delivery; directing and monitoring program staff; designing and delivering trainings, workshops; program documentation and reporting; coordinating monthly action plans and team meetings; communicating with different GO and NGO agencies; local advocacy responsibilities; conduct research and study-related activities; ensuring pandemic-related safeguards are in place at meetings, trainings, and workshops; crisis management as appropriate.
∎ Proven experiences on program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, report writing and monitoring & evaluation. Clear concept/understanding on livelihood, human rights and mainstreaming gender and right based project dynamics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bengali. The applicant should have computer skill on MS word, Excel, Power point and internet applications. Experiences on network/linkage/collaboration with union/upazila/district level administration and national level network and like-minded organizations. Must have Motor bike driving license. Willing to stay at Ashashuni/Shyamnagar Upazila level with frequent visit to the remote areas. Candidate should have good knowledge on safe guarding (Child Protection, Gender & Anti sexual harassment). Only experienced candidates are requested to apply.

∎ Tk. 44500 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly gross salary BDT- 44,500/-
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 1 festival bonus equivalent to 1 month gross salary
