We require a DGM or GM who possesses knowledge of fabric, it’s manufacturing, dying, printing, finishing and other relevant processes
working experience with Buyer H&M,C&A,BESTSELLER,NEXT, INDITEX, Kontoor
Responsibilities & Context:
- Develop the quality standard, rules and regulations for achieving the quality of fabrics .
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and products to ensure compliance with quality fabric standards.
- Follow up all test reports of fabric meet buyer’s technical requirements.
- Face buyers/ Auditors/ Inspections if needed to resolve fabric related technical problems.
- Support on any fabric issues, starting from sourcing, development, sampling, base test, lab-dip/strike-off/handloom, bulk testing, appearance, handle and color approval, garment washing, garment dyeing, etc.
- Co-ordinate with the merchandising, Quality, Sourcing, and design teams to understand fabric requirements and specifications for various collections.
- Work with fabric suppliers and assess their capabilities to meet our demands (as per management guidelines).
- Evaluate fabric samples based on color consistency, hand feel, composition, shrinkage, durability, and other relevant properties.
- Ensuring execution of all fabric quality standards and practices.
- Developing all communication strategies both internally and externally.
- Development of all overall and specific fabric quality policies and standards for all product categories.
- Any other job assigned by the management.
