Responsibilities & Context:

Position Overview

STARDUST Telecom Ltd. (concern of Confidence Group) is looking for DevOps Lead will be responsible for managing and leading the DevOps team to design, develop, customize, and maintain enterprise-level applications. This role ensures effective team performance, operational excellence, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement of software engineering practices to support organizational goals.


Key Accountabilities & Activities

1. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Manage, monitor, and control the DevOps team to ensure effective performance in building and maintaining enterprise-level applications.

  • Oversee recruitment, development, and mentorship of Software Engineers, Testers, and Business Analysts.

  • Lead the team to accomplish DevOps goals and performance objectives.

2. Project & Resource Management

  • Estimate, plan, and monitor monthly DevOps involvement, effort, and utilization.

  • Estimate project efforts, prepare project plans, and ensure end-to-end quality and timely delivery.

  • Prepare and publish release calendars, weekly team updates, and project progress reports.

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

3. Process & Methodology Management

  • Define, implement, and maintain the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology and tools.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps processes and systems.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices and process optimization for software delivery.

4. Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate and coordinate with higher management and product owners to baseline requirements and ensure timely delivery.

  • Interface with internal and external customers to understand requirements, set priorities, and communicate progress effectively.

  • Prepare and present progress updates, release notes, and performance reports to management and stakeholders.

5. Operational Excellence & Performance Management

  • Own and monitor all operational metrics related to DevOps software performance and support activities.

  • Define strategic decisions for team management, application incident handling, and live service request operations.

  • Drive improvements in software engineering and DevOps practices to enhance performance and efficiency.
