Responsibilities & Context:
Create original layouts, logos, and typography for woven labels using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Use specialized CAD software like MuCAD or NedGraphics to convert digital artwork into weaving programs for Jacquard looms.
Select appropriate yarns (polyester, cotton, satin, or taffeta) and calculate yarn density/pick ratios to achieve the desired label texture and durability.
Perform design work & keep a record and ensure the exact design file for each booking sheet & give a punch.
Communicate with the sales & sample department to clear the requirements through mail & phone for samples & costing.
Oversee the production of sample swatches, approve "strike-offs" (initial production samples), and ensure final products meet brand standards for color accuracy and legibility.
Stay updated on fashion trends and legal requirements for care instructions, country of origin, and safety labels.
Ensure raw materials for sample making.
Any other task assigned by management.
