Responsibilities & Context:
Plan and develop seasonal knitwear collections for all categories (men’s, women’s, and kids’).
Create design concepts, sketches, and mood boards reflecting market trends and brand identity.
Select appropriate fabrics, trims, colors, and prints for product development.
Supervise sample development, ensuring fit, quality, and styling accuracy.
Conduct market surveys and competitor analysis to identify local fashion trends.
Research upcoming color trends, fabrics, and design techniques.
Visit retail outlets and fashion exhibitions to stay updated on new styles.
Manage and guide a team of designers, graphic artists, and sample makers.
Work closely with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost control.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams for promotional styling and photo shoots.
Ensure all designs are production-friendly and cost-efficient.
Maintain high design standards consistent with brand quality.
Monitor and control sampling and material expenses within the approved budget.
Strong knowledge of knit fabrics, printing, embroidery, and embellishment techniques.
