Job Context:
∎ Dermatologist is responsible
∎ Perform Triage properly and admittance of dermatology patients
∎ Diagnosing patients relevant to primary health care of Skin Diseases
∎ Treating patients and if necessary refer them to higher Skin care services
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The primary responsibilities will be to provide clinical services to outpatient department of two primary health care center in Rohingya Camps. The candidate will have a strong background in dermatology both through education and work experience. The focus of the role is to assess and diagnose and treat skin conditions such as scabies, chronic scabies, acne, moles, and other common and not common skin complaints whilst supporting patients through their treatment and improved skin conditions.
∎ Responsible for performing treatment procedures as per health sector standard. Provide personalized and professional advice to beneficiaries.
∎ Diagnose skin and venereal disease related problems and symptoms. Build good & strong relationship with patients by providing excellence services.
∎ Support Electronic Medical Records data entry and rational use of drugs.
∎ Consult with patients to ascertain the skin-related issues they are facing.
∎ Assess and investigate patients' issues using a variety of techniques, including skin scrapping.
∎ Diagnose patients’ conditions and develop treatment plans to improve or cure their conditions. Prescribe medication where required.
∎ Monitor patients' progress and note any significant changes, including improvement or deterioration.
∎ Report any new or unseen conditions to the relevant organization.
∎ Make referrals to other healthcare service providers when needed.
∎ Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of their condition and proper hygiene regimens when needed.
∎ Work in line with patient confidentiality guidelines at all times. Able to deal with a large range of skin diseases.
∎ Regularly attend meetings, training, workshops, and other medical lectures to maintain a good standard of knowledge and best practices.
∎ Demonstrated ability to investigate and diagnose various skin complaints.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 24 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience: 2 to 3 year(s) experience in dermatology or diploma in skin/ VD / dermatology
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ Health, Hospital management, INGO, Medicine, public health
∎ At minimum medical doctor profile, preferably with technical specialisation on skin care
∎ A minimum of 2 years post registration (clinical) work experience on skin care / VD in PHC settings
∎ Ability to cope with stress
∎ Ability to work well as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
∎ Ability to organise and prioritise workload, using initiative when appropriate
∎ Able to work independently
∎ Good communicator
∎ Good organisational skills
