  • Technical Expertise: Mastery of SMV calculation, time-motion study, line balancing, layout design, work study, capacity planning, and data analysis.

  • Industry 4.0 Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP/MES’S platforms, data analytics tools.

  • Lean Six Sigma: Deep knowledge and practical application of lean tools (5S, Kaizen, JIT, VSM) and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC) will add value.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, change management, problem-solving, and communication skills to drive initiatives.



Responsibilities & Context:

1. Process Optimization & Work Study

·        Conduct time and motion studies to establish accurate Standard Minute Values (SMV/SAM) for all operations and styles.

·        Prepare and approve Operation Bulletins (OB), sewing layouts, line layouts, thread consumption charts, and operation breakdowns for new and running styles.

·        Perform line balancing, capacity studies, and manpower planning to achieve target efficiency.

·        Analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement method improvements or style simplifications to reduce SAM without compromising quality or appearance.

·        Optimize factory layouts, machine placement, and material flow for reduced WIP and throughput time.

2. Productivity Monitoring, Analysis & Reporting

·        Monitor daily/weekly KPIs: line efficiency, individual operator efficiency, overall factory efficiency, manpower utilization, machine productivity, earned minutes vs. available minutes, and waste/scrap rates.

·        Analyze monthly trends in productivity, capacity utilization, and incentives; set benchmarks and implement corrective actions.

·        Provide CMT (Cost of Making Time) estimates, labor cost projections, and productivity data to the merchandising team for accurate order costing and negotiations.

·        Prepare efficiency reports, improvement plans, and presentations for top management.

3. Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives

·        Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Six Sigma projects to eliminate the wastes.

·        Drive cost-saving initiatives, process re-engineering, and automation adoption (e.g., auto-cutters, CAD/CAM, ERP/RFID for real-time tracking).

·        Research and evaluate new machinery, folders, attachments, and Industry 4.0 technologies; prepare cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculations.

·        Implement and monitor incentive schemes based on productivity and skill matrix.

4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

·        Lead, train, and mentor the IE team (Executives, Officers, and juniors) and production supervisors on IE tools, best practices, and SOPs.

·        Collaborate closely with Production, Planning & Control (PPC), Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Maintenance, and HR departments for smooth order execution.

·        Support new style development, pre-production sampling, and R&D activities.

·        Audit IE activities, operation bulletins, and layouts across multiple factory units to ensure compliance and consistency.
