Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Statistics/ MIS/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Geography and Environment/ Disaster Management or any relevant discipline from recognised university/ institution with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop a data collection system that addresses organisational requirements or to set goals by collaborate with ICT teams and management
∎ Design project/Programmes wise MIS tools and construct database architectures with web and mobile applications
∎ Develop trends and periodical report in regular increments, such as weekly, monthly or quarterly, and notice significant patterns or trends over time
∎ Search open and closed (secondary) data from different sources and interpreting results using facts, figures, and number crunching and providing reports for management
∎ Setting up data set and mining, cleaning and also dissecting data to get rid of irrelevant information
∎ Assist to improve web and mobile application based technology, identify and evaluate current data management technologies, constantly monitor, refine and report on the performance of data management systems
∎ Ensure the flow of information and detection of people at risk through create geotagging and hash tags during disaster
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 03 years of professional experience in MIS and GIS data analysis and web application based tools development is required
∎ Understanding of humanitarian issues and contexts, data protection policy, the SPHERE Humanitarian Charter and Minimum Standards
∎ Strong knowledge on global and national data science strategy in the field of humanitarian actions and disaster management, organisational data management system and software applications and data collection methodology and analytical framework
∎ Demonstrated skills of data application tools i.e. Microsoft Excel/ Access/ STATA/ SPSS/ Google Analytics/ Visual Website Optimiser/ Nvivo software application/ graphical analyst/ GIS mapping
∎ Strong analytical ability with able to handle critical situation
∎ Proficient in written and oral communication skills both in Bangla and English
