∎ Tdh is working in Bangladesh since 1974, with operations in the north of the country (Kurigram district), in the Dhaka district and in Cox Bazaar district. Tdh is implementing programs on Health, WASH, Access to Justice (social cohesion and conflict resolution), Migration and Child protection, both in development and emergency context.
∎ Context:
∎ Tdh`s Child Protection (CP) program consists of three main components: Psychosocial Support (PSS) to children, adolescents and caregivers; Case Management, including Alternative Care and Caring for Child
∎ Survivors, and Support to Community-based CP mechanisms. To protect and promote the psychosocial wellbeing of adolescent boys and girls and young men and women through community-based approaches implemented at individual, family and community levels. The MHPSS component is based on Tdh innovative YouCreate methodology, and the Problem Management+ (PM+) intervention developed by WHO and family support and strengthening intervention. These intervention strategies applicable for individual and group adolescents and adults who are having different psychosocial and adjustment issues due to migration.
∎ The project is to protect and promote the psychosocial wellbeing of adolescent boys and girls and young men and women through community-based approaches implemented at individual, family and community levels between host and refugee community population
∎ General Objective:
∎ The Data Assistant provides support to project teams and program teams during the entering, processing and saving of program information collected in the field. The Data Assistant also helps collect data in the field (by filling in investigation forms, collecting data from registers and performing interviews) to support monitoring activities.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Enters data provided by project teams and programme teams using the appropriate software
∎ Provide high quality, complete and timely data to management on a periodic basis or when required
∎ Helps collect data in the field as required by programme teams by performing household or individual surveys, using registers or secondary data and performing interviews
∎ Ensure daily entry of records into the KOBO toolbox for effective storage and backup for effective monitoring and assessment of the performance of the project at field level
∎ Helps teams process collected data (by cleaning data, performing initial calculations, etc.) in line with instructions from superiors
∎ Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database with a high sense of thoroughness
∎ Create spreadsheets with large numbers of data, charts and figures
∎ Verify data by comparing it to source documents
∎ Updates project and programme databases using the appropriate software and other information management tools
∎ Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
∎ Archives and saves data in conformity with data confidentiality and security rules
∎ Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure optimal archiving
∎ Reports any unresolvable processing or quality problems or errors to superiors in a timely and constructive manner
∎ Informs the Programme Manager of any unmet targets, contextual changes (risks and opportunities) and negative effects on beneficiaries.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Previous experience with the following software tools (depending on the program activity): Excel, Stata, SPSS, Epi Data, QGIS, etc. If the applicant lacks this experience, he/she must have worked with similar software and be able to quickly master new tools
∎ Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
∎ Fluency in written and spoken English
∎ Fluency in the local language will be considered as a plus
∎ Organization skills, attention to detail and thoroughness
∎ Quick typing skills
∎ Confidentiality

Salary: Tk. 39750 (Monthly)
