• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university (educational qualifications may be relaxed for highly experienced candidates).

• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience in the apparel industry, including at least 10 years in a managerial role within a trading/buying house.

• A strong background in retail business operations will be considered an advantage.

• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated, proactive, solutions-driven, and able to act as a change agent.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and interpersonal skills to effectively manage both customers and factories.

• Proven leadership, management, and organisational skills with the ability to drive cross-functional teams.

• Ability to confidently communicate with all levels of personnel — from production floor staff to executive leadership — across the company and with customers.

We seek a proven leader with strong expertise in garment sourcing, vendor negotiation, order execution, quality and compliance assurance, who can drive operational excellence and deliver customer satisfaction at the highest level.

• Make strategic decisions for order placement by assessing skills, resources, factory capacity, and pricing.

•  Guide the costing team to secure competitive prices and negotiate with manufacturers to align with company targets.

•  Oversee order execution using real-time data and lead problem-solving meetings to ensure smooth operations.

•  Conduct internal meetings to review delivery performance and resolve challenges.

•  Take full ownership for ensuring 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.

• Provide direction and performance oversight to managers in Sampling, Technical, Quality Assurance, and Quality Audit departments.

•  Enforce compliance with company standards, technical requirements, and SOPs across all functions.

•  Support quality teams in meetings and drive defect elimination using Pareto analysis.

•  Lead special projects aimed at eradicating recurring defects and improving Overall Quality Level (OQL).

•  Motivate teams to maximize efficiency and achieve a higher order-to-ship ratio.

•  Monitor market dynamics and competitor activities, collaborating with other departments to mitigate risks.

•  Ensure satisfaction of both internal and external customers across quality, delivery, compliance, pricing, and communication.

•  Manage company expenses responsibly and ensure adherence to the approved budget.

•  Provide regular business updates and performance reviews to the Director.

•  Lead, inspire, and develop cross-functional teams to maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
