  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to maintain confidentiality in handling financial data.

We are currently looking for a Costing & Billing Manager to strengthen our financial and project execution team.

Key Responsibilities

Project Cost Estimation & BOQ

  • Prepare detailed and accurate BOQs and cost estimates for interior projects.

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, materials, quantities, labor, and execution requirements before preparing costs.

  • Prepare preliminary budgets as well as detailed project costing.

  • Maintain and regularly update material, labor, vendor, and supplier rate databases.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Establish project budgets and monitor actual costs against approved budgets.

  • Track material, labor, vendor, subcontractor, and other project expenses.

  • Identify cost overruns, variations, wastage, and potential savings at an early stage.

  • Support management in maintaining targeted project profitability.

Client Billing & Project Accounts

  • Prepare client quotations, bills, invoices, variation bills, and final bills accurately and on time.

  • Track billing schedules, payments received, outstanding amounts, and overall project financial status.

  • Coordinate with the Project and Accounts teams regarding billing and collection.

Vendor & Supplier Costing

  • Collect and compare quotations from vendors, suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.

  • Verify rates, quantities, specifications, and scope before finalizing costs.

  • Negotiate competitive rates while maintaining required quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain reliable vendor and supplier pricing information.

Project Cost Reporting

  • Prepare regular project-wise Budget vs. Actual Cost reports.

  • Track committed costs, actual expenses, billing, variations, and expected final project costs.

  • Provide management with clear information on project cost position and profitability.

Documentation & Coordination

  • Maintain organized records of BOQs, quotations, rate analyses, purchase/work-order values, bills, variations, and project costing.

  • Coordinate closely with the Design, Project Management, Procurement, Accounts, Factory, and Management teams.

  • Ensure all costing and billing information is accurate, traceable, and properly documented.


Mandatory Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the interior design, interior fit-out, or interior construction sector is MANDATORY.

Candidates without relevant interior-sector experience will not be considered for this position.

The candidate must also have:

  • Hands-on experience in interior project costing, estimation, BOQ preparation, billing, and cost control.

  • Strong knowledge of interior materials, workmanship, construction methods, labor rates, vendor/supplier pricing, and current market rates.

  • Ability to understand architectural and interior drawings and specifications and convert them into accurate quantities and costs.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant costing/estimation tools.

  • Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding company, client, vendor, and financial information.
