Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Climate Change, Disaster Management, Marine Sciences, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Anthropology or any related discipline with 5 years progressive professional experience in research, advocacy and capacity building related activities.
Job Context:
∎ Type of Job Open ended
∎ Duty Station Dhaka, with frequent travel to research/study areas
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ Coordinator-Research and Advocacy is a Mid-Level position at CPRD, will be responsible for leading project/programme implementation, report writing and organizing advocacy and capacity building events.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate and implement research activities as required by the organization
∎ Lead and guide Research Assistants in implementing research and other project activities
∎ Develop quarterly technical and financial report on project's implementation
∎ Organize seminar, workshops for disseminating research findings
∎ Organize and conduct training for NGOs, CSOs, Govt, and other stakeholders
∎ Organize advocacy events for policy influencing
∎ Develop and build strong external networks within Bangladesh and abroad
∎ Assist in developing new project ideas, designing new project proposals to mobilize funding both from national and international sources.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Clear theorical understanding on climate change, disaster risk reduction, resilience building etc. and respective national as well as global plans and frameworks
∎ Proven Experiences in implementing field-based research/studies using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
∎ Experience of project implementation in the climate risk-exposed areas like char, coastal and haor and barind areas.
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills
∎ Ability to prepare high quality reports and presenting study findings to a wide range of stakeholders.
∎ Ability to represent the organization at various levels
∎ Ability to communicate independently with Donors or Senior Govt, Officials
∎ Sound knowledge in computer application (MS word, spread sheet, power point)
Salary: Tk. 52000 (Monthly)
