Additional Requirements:

1. At least three (03) years of professional experience of conducting public health or epidemiology research using quantitative and qualitative methods in the in the field or climate change and development·        
2. Experience of developing data collection tools, conducting field survey, risk communication, database management and data analysis, statistical programming, management of information system and large databases is preferred.        
3. Clear theoretical understanding of climate change, disaster risk reduction, resilience building, etc., and respective national as well as global plans and frameworks·        
4. Experience of conducting research activities in climate risk-exposed areas like coastal, char, haor, and barind areas·        
5. Proficiency in English and Bangla (reading, writing, and speaking)· 
6. Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills·        
7. Proven proficiency in using computer applications and relevant statistical packages (e.g. MS Office, SPSS, STATA, etc)·        
8. Publications in the peer-reviewed journals (will add significant value)·        
9. Ability to prepare high-quality reports and present study findings to a wide range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities & Context:

Senior Officer - Environment and Public Health is a mid-level position at CPRD that will be mainly responsible for conducting field- and desk research on climate change-development-female health nexus, report writing, and organizing study sharing and advocacy events.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)·

1. Implementing research activities as required by the organization (data collection, analysis, and report writing)· 
2. Developing research design, methodologies, and data collection tools·
3. Guiding Research Assistants in implementing research and other project activities·        
4. Leading and monitoring data collection·       
5. Communicating with the partners about the updates of project activities·
6. Assisting the Program Manager in developing periodic reports on project implementation ·        
7. Organizing dissemination and capacity-building events (study-sharing seminars, workshops, etc.)·        
8. Organizing advocacy events for policy-influencing (round table meetings, dialogues, press conferences, etc.)·        
9. Collaborating in developing new project ideas and designing new project proposals on climate change and public health issues.
