Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ Junior Research Officer is an entry-level position at CPRD and will be responsible for supporting the research team in implementing field- and desk-based research activities, reviewing literature, and drafting research reports.
∎
∎ Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)·
∎ Literature reviewing, data collection, digitization, processing, and analysis·
∎ Collaborating in report writing
∎ Assisting in developing data collection tools
∎ Assisting in organizing study-sharing seminars, advocacy events, capacity-building workshops, training programs, etc.
∎ Drafting workshops and seminar reports
∎
∎ Education and aptitude:
∎ Masters in Climate Change, Environmental Science, Economics, Disaster Management, Marine Sciences, Development Studies, Geography, or any related discipline. Female candidates are highly encouraged to apply
∎
∎ Job-related experience and knowledge
∎ Pro-activeness and challenge-taking attitude
∎ Previous experience of reviewing literature for academic write-ups
∎ Some level of experience in implementing field-based research activities
∎ Experience of using quantitative and qualitative research methods (e.g., Questionnaire Survey, FGD, KII, PRA, etc.), and their application
∎ Proven interpersonal communication and presentation skills
∎ Ability to draft/prepare reports and present research findings
∎ Proficiency in computer applications (e.g. MS Office) and statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, etc.)Proficiency in English language
