Job Context:
∎ The Coordinator will be responsible for GK operated Health & Nutrition project for the Rohingya refugees in Bhasanchar especially ensuring quality implementation of project activities and governance of financial, HR, and administrative affairs. The Coordinator will coordinate with the MOH, local wings of govt., funding agencies, and other stakeholders to represent GK as applicable. S/he will oversee the entire project activities to ensure quality implementation is aligned with the partnership agreement (PA), partner`s suggestions, and government decisions.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Major responsibilities:
∎ Coordination and reporting
∎ Represent GK in promoting the GK operated health and/or Nutrition project for the Rohingya refugee and establish professional communications with the related stakeholders
∎ Liaise and coordinate with the donor agencies to ensure project implementation is in line with the agreed partnership agreement (PA).
∎ Coordinate with local authorities and other humanitarian agencies on the decision-making process and discussion related to refugee's matters
∎ Regularly brief GK senior management on the status of projects and challenges on the ground and ensure their solutions are delivered in a timely manner.
∎ Review and contribute to preparing high-quality donor and GK monthly reports and submit within the time frame. (monthly narrative/ financial report, project visibility plan, quarterly narrative/ progress review, project completion report, etc as required)
∎ Ensure that organizational achievements, lessons learned, and significant events are adequately recorded and shared with appropriate audience
∎ Support media and communications events as advised by management.
∎ Project management and monitoring:
∎ Provide technical expertise in program planning, designing, implementation, capacity building, and program strategy in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure adequate resources and support are made available for the implementation of activities
∎ Ensure that planned activities are closely monitored for timely implementation and targets are met as per partnership agreement with donor agencies and consistent with humanitarian standards and sector guidelines
∎ Create a workplace that is friendly to all employees and a culture of learning & sharing.
∎ Ensure the implementation of the project interventions with a focus on humanitarian response
∎ Ensure access to project activity information flows and keep up to date of program policies.
∎ Supervise rational use and maintenance of project materials, assets, tools for project implementation.
∎ Management of human resources and capacity development:
∎ Will take leadership in recruitment of appropriate project personnel in accordance with budget following the GK HR Manual.
∎ Validate skill profiles and the recruitment process, take part in recruitment especially management personnel. Prepare and moderate conditions of employment and job description(s). S/he Will take the lead to arrange staff induction, orient on project activities and results
∎ Contribute to the development of systems and approaches that enhance field staff compliance and monitoring of agreed work practices.
∎ Supportive supervision to finance, HR, administration, and program personnel
∎ Ensure all the staff is getting the right entitlement and benefits.
∎ Share experiences and mentor related staff looking to progress and able to foster collaborative, transparent, and accountable relationships.
∎ Recommend and take necessary disciplinary actions in consultation with the Director
∎ Oversees the safety of organizational staff including staff compliance issues
∎ Will setup a mechanism to receive complaints, feedback and suggestions from field staff and give feedback in consultation with GK management
∎ Conduct required staff performance evaluation jointly with line managers
∎ Procurement, finance and administration
∎ Ensure timely procurement as per requirement from the program following the "Procurement Guideline" of GK.
∎ Perform physical inventory/petty cash counts at certain intervals.
∎ Reviews and verifies personnel files and monthly leave records, monthly vehicle and generator expense report, and other related reports.
∎ Verify stock balance of consumables at all levels- including Cox's Bazar office, Warehouse in BSCIC, Cox's Bazar, and Health facilities at camp level (Bhasan Char)
∎ Monitor expenditures according to approved budget and resources are being used effectively and efficiently
∎ Actively monitor the Risk management issues to manage risk within their projects in a systematic manner and for transparency & accountability for the project staff. S/he ensure threats have a reduced effect on the project outcome.
∎ S/he will ensure to raise awareness in the project about the risks of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) and establishing available reporting channels to prevent SEA, as well as to ensure that victims know where and how to safely report SEA if it happens.
∎ Special Note
∎ Carry out any additional assignment in accordance with her/his position entrusted with the GK Management from time to time and mutually agreed upon.
∎ Management may, at any point in time, modify this job description as it is deemed necessary in Gonoshasthaya Kendra's interests in consultation with the incumbent and donor agencies.
∎ Due to the emergency response nature of GK's work, hours of work may vary, and employees should be flexible in approaching hours of work in emergency conditions.
∎ The employee must respect the timetable, terms, and conditions of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and should always be available to respond to an emergency.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 8 years of field level experience in the healthcare sector/ public health sector from govt./ non-govt. organization (above is highly preferred).
∎ Demonstrated ability in resource mobilization in health or any other emergencies.
∎ Demonstrated skills in effectively managing and building programs and/or operations in high-pressure, fluid environments.
∎ Leadership and team management skills are essential.
∎ Prior success managing in an emergency environment and/or start-up environment as part of a team.
∎ Excellent communication skills including the ability to deliver presentations to professional and donor audiences.
∎ Proven writing and reporting skills, including the ability to effectively write the grant proposals and reports as appropriate.
∎ Effective people and program management skills in acute emergency contexts: the ability to train, lead and manage staff productively under stressful circumstances.
∎ Flexible work attitude: Be flexible and yet focused & reliable in an environment of changing demands.
∎ Good computer skills
∎ Multi-lingual skills advantageous - with priority placed on English, Bengali and Local Chittagonian Languages.
