Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Contract up to 31st December 2023
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ The Cook of SC will be responsible for preparation of nutritious meal for the caregivers of admitted SAM with medical complications children during their stay in the SC. H/She will maintain proper hygiene and ensure the quality of the cooked food. With support from SC in charge He/she will set the recipe and prepare the meal considering the number of personnel. This position will be responsible to perform other activities requested by his/her supervisor based on project needs.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Clean containers, pots & utensils before each preparation of meals.
∎ Ensure kitchen hygiene kits (soap, powder) in the kitchen.
∎ Clean kitchen at least twice a day with antiseptics.
∎ Clean the water container used in the kitchen twice a day.
∎ Ensure enough quantity of water availability in the kitchen.
∎ Check the amount of food ingredients given by the stock keeper with the number of beneficiaries and based on advice from the SC-In charge.
∎ Check (for each product) the amount of food item needed for daily supply.
∎ Wash hands before and after food preparation.
∎ Observe the meal schedule: meal must be ready at least 30 minutes before feeding time and hot food should be allowed to cool to about 400 c before it sent to the feeding place.
∎ Help to serve the food during Feeding time.
∎ Follow the recipes for food preparation
∎ Return all utensils & keep them properly and in a suitable place.
∎ Close the kitchen under lock & key after feeding time and handover the key to SC-In charge.
∎ Control the quality of the food before its preparation, e.g.-properly cooked, taste etc.
∎ To be ensured of the quantity of the safe drinking water used for food preparation.
∎ To be ensured that all the recipe elements are available before starting cooking.
∎ Accountability:
∎ In line with Concern's commitments under the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS):
∎ Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year experience in the related job.
∎ Be able to follow the written instruction-Write and Read Bengali (If possible English).
∎ Demonstrate ability to think and manage strategically, plan and meet deadlines.
∎ Be certified free from any contagious disease, including skin disease & nail condition.
∎ Key competencies:

Salary: Tk. 19845 (Monthly)
