Job Context:
∎ Jagorani Chakra Foundation (JCF) is a national voluntary social welfare organization. JCF is going to implement `Ensuring Foundational Literacy, Numeracy, Vocational and Life Skills for adolescents (15-18 years) in Rohingya camps and Cox`s Bazar district including Out of School Children (OoSC) Cox`s Bazar district Cox`sBazar` Project in partnership with United Nations Children`s Fund (UNICEF) in Cox`s Bazar district for the period of 1 year with possibility of extension. To ensure the quality implementation of the project, JCF is inviting application to recruit from competent candidates.
∎ Project: Ensuring Foundational Literacy, Numeracy, Vocational and Life Skills for adolescents (15-18 years) in Rohingya camps and Cox`s Bazar district including Out of School Children (OoSC) Cox`s Bazar district Cox`s Bazar.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for day to day coordination with the contractors and partners according to the needs and requirements on site.
∎ Inspects and reports on contractor and partner works in progress ensuring that the works meet the high-quality standards expected by UNICEF & JCF and propose corrective actions where necessary.
∎ Checks set out and work, including compliance with specifications and ensure that contractors and partners comply with their work plans to complete work with a specified time frame.
∎ Evaluates and assesses works schedules, materials and labor schedules and programs including the comparison with the baselines, and monitors of quality of such during the progress of works and reports to the Project Coordinator accordingly.
∎ Assesses the work activities of contractor/s, measure completed work and make recommendations to the Project Coordinator for progress payments to contractors.
∎ Provides support and guidance to the contractor and implementing partner and assists in resolving site problems, as necessary.
∎ Attends daily the project site(s) in order to monitor the progress of works, identifies the existing problems and provides appropriate solutions through the application of sound engineering standards in consultation with the Project Coordinator.
∎ Maintain records; compile periodic reports and any specific reports required by donor.
∎ Assist the Construction Engineer and Project Coordinator for assessment, the definition of the scope of works, development, and preparation of designs and technical specifications and estimates for new works.
∎ Performs other related duties as required from Project Coordinator

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Technical degree with extensive experience in construction may be accepted in lieu of university degree.
∎ Minimum 05 years' experience in supervising on-site construction activities, supervision of contractors and QA/QC is required.
∎ Experience in supervision of civil engineering construction activities is required with a special focus on building structures, but also road infrastructure and site stabilization are desirable.
∎ Experience in developing specifications and bill of quantities is required.

Salary:
∎ Tk. 50,000/- per month, Consolidated and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy as well as the project.
