Educational Requirements:
∎ Educated to degree level in economics, business studies, business administration, law or any other relevant subject or demonstrable equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Perform periodic risk assessments and promptly present the findings to management along with conducting regular follow ups on actions required to rectify the gaps/issues.
∎ Carry out regular reviews of current policies, procedures, and documentation and identify weakness and risks along with presenting recommendations for improvements in light of donor and legislative requirements.
∎ Provide proactive support to all departments in strengthening the current processes to ensure robust compliance whilst reducing risk.
∎ Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
∎ Ensure the implementation of legal and compliance policies across the MABCO operations and programmes.
∎ Educate MABCO employees and partners about internal and external regulations and ensure that they understand non-compliance risk, scope and significance to MABCO operations and programmes.
∎ Develop targeted training materials on key compliance matters to ensure core understanding is effectively delivered.
∎ Collaborate with management from other departments to ensure MABCO’s compliance with national regulations, donor requirements and internal policies and promptly highlight any existing and potential non-compliance with management.
∎ Review marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
∎ Assist in collating internal information in response to requests by regulatory organisations.
∎ Proactively and accurately maintain comprehensive files of all legal documents.
∎ Effectively investigate irregularities and compliance problems across the MABCO operations and highlight any concerns and root cause with management.
∎ Work closely with the HR and Finance departments to improve compliance of policies and improve the audit process.
∎ Support the programmes department in designing and implementing MABCO programmes with key focus on regulatory and donor compliance.
∎ Assist in the formation of required committees as per country law and monitor their activities.
∎ Provide advice and support to internal teams on due diligence processes as and when needed.
∎ Develop and implement review procedures and a schedule of routine inspections.
∎ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new legislations and donor requirements and promptly inform management to ensure relevant policies and procedures and employees are updated accordingly.
∎ Networking and Representation
∎ Represent the organisation at key forums/events and build credibility of MABCO through visibility of its work.
∎ Proactively build a good network of key contacts in the government, donors, I/NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ General
∎ Proactively promote and implement equality of opportunities and diversity initiatives across the CO operations.
∎ Maintain and store all records in hard and/or soft copy formats in line with the internal data management and IT policies.
∎ Comply with all policies, procedures, legal and regulatory requirements.
∎ Champion Muslim Aid values in the performance of own work.
∎ Perform any other duties commensurate with the accountabilities of the post.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Evidence of continuous professional development.
∎ Substantial demonstrable experience in a similar role in an INGO.
∎ Experience in conducting risk assessment, risk management, compliance of legal/donor requirements and internal controls, industry practices and professional standards.
∎ Experience of developing and successfully implementing review procedures and plans.
∎ Excellent working knowledge of legal requirements and procedures with in the country.
∎ Experience of educating employees and partners in compliance risks and ensuring compliance of organisation policies and procedures and external legislative requirements.
∎ Experience of advising top management of compliance risks and making recommendations for improvements.
∎ Knowledge or appreciation of the country in terms of its political, development and humanitarian issues.
∎ IT literate with demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∎ Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
∎ Critical problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions quickly
∎ Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret information rapidly and accurately
∎ Attention to details and the ability to comprehend information thoroughly and understand its significance
∎ Meticulous attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
∎ Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge and influence existing mindsets.
∎ Strong people management and coordination skills including coordinating with people remotely.
∎ Good networking, influencing and negotiation skills.

∎ Willingness and availability to travel remote programmatic sites within the country.

Salary: Tk. 50050 (Monthly)
