Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the project in target location/s (20%)
∎ Responsible for all community-level activities at assigned location/s under the supervision of the Project Manager.
∎ Conduct FGDs with different stockholders and communities for beneficiary selection and other information collection.
∎ Conduct door-to-door surveys to finalize the project participants list
∎ Supervise the participant’s identification as per fixed selection criteria and by the methodology fixed by IR.
∎ Finalize the participants by ensuring endorsement and validation from relevant authorities such as UP and Upazila administration.
∎ Ensure inclusion of gender, persons with disabilities, elderly and other vulnerable communities according to the IR Principle and guidelines during participant selection and other steps of implementation.
∎ Implementation of activities assigned for.
∎ Prepare attendance sheet, muster roll, and any other documents for audit compliance.
∎ Conducted Beneficiary Feedback Survey preferably using KOBO software (if required).
∎ Ensure other planned activities such as Caretaker Training, HP sessions, Courtyard meeting, etc. various workshops and meetings.
∎ Maintain coordination and cooperation among the team members and external stakeholders for smooth team movement and uphold the organizational reputation.
∎ Ensure community mobilization.
∎ Technical Support (20%)
∎ Support to prepare BoQ and Design of any technical intervention of HP.
∎ Estimate the quantities of the materials according to the approved BoQ and Design.
∎ Ensure construction quality through proper documentation.
∎ Monitoring of construction activities.
∎ Site selection and site preparation for construction sites.
∎ Prepare post measurement sheet for any interventions.
∎ Generate innovative ideas for WASH, shelter, and other humanitarian interventions.
∎ Ensure effective monitoring of project intervention (20%)
∎ Regular monitoring of WASH activities at the beneficiary level.
∎ Regular monitoring of project-related activities especially the distribution of hygiene kits, toolboxes for repair and maintenance of WASH interventions, etc. at the beneficiary level.
∎ Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, and materials & inform the project focal / supervisor.
∎ Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving and visibility according to the project need (10%)
∎ Prepare the bill & check the bill vouchers.
∎ Support supervisor to prepare monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative reports as per proposal and project need.
∎ Assist supervisor to prepare monthly progress reports.
∎ Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project-related documents and ensure sending to Humanitarian Crisis Response Programme within due time.
∎ Prepare or collect media & communication materials (Photographs, Case studies, etc.) required to ensure project visibility.
∎ Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guidelines.
∎ Capacity-building initiatives for project participants, key stakeholders, and project staff at the programme level (15%)
∎ Support to organize orientation for the newly recruited project staff.
∎ Organize basic skill development training for project participants on different subjects i.e. repair and maintenance of WASH interventions, shelter, health & hygiene promotion, etc.
∎ Participate and facilitate weekly and monthly project-related awareness-raising and feedback sessions i.e., courtyard meetings at the community level.
∎ Orient key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues to project activities
∎ Organize training and workshop in different sectors for internal and external stakeholders
∎ Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving and visibility according to the project need (10%)
∎ Prepare the bill & check the bill vouchers.
∎ Support supervisor to prepare monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative reports as per proposal and project need.
∎ Assist supervisor to prepare monthly progress reports.
∎ Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project-related documents and ensure sending to the Humanitarian & Resilience Programme department within due time.
∎ Prepare or collect media & communication materials (Photographs, Case studies, etc.) required to ensure project visibility.
∎ Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guidelines.
∎ Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination, and advocacy with different stakeholders (10%)
∎ Support to organize the project inception meeting with different level stakeholders.
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with the upazila and DC offices. Establish and maintain effective coordination mechanisms with key stakeholders of the project.
∎ Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in coordination meetings at the upazila and district levels.
∎ Assist in the phase-out meeting and lesson-learned workshop for further organizational development.
∎ Collect successful project completion letters from relevant authorities.
∎ Other Requirements (5%)
∎ Participate & involve with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.
∎ Maintain the stock book, inventory, and other essential register properly and timely in an effective manner.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
