Job Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities:

The Community Mobilizer will be responsible for day-to-day program implementation with communities. This post is designed for 100% field based work. The Community Mobilizer is responsible for mobilizing communities, conducting training and following up on regular field activities. S/he is also responsible for ensuring the implementation of quality program interventions focusing on the community's needs of the targeted areas (health and nutrition, social safety-net, child protection, food security, livelihood, WASH). S/he will act as a bridge between communities and project interventions. S/he will also maintain coordination and liaison with all concerned stakeholders of the assigned communities/Union Parishad. S/he will also supervise the activities of Community Volunteers.

• Specific tasks include:

• Identify and select beneficiaries and volunteers from the community

• Supervising community volunteer to hold community meetings, awareness sessions, mass awareness events at the communities with guidance from project technical staff.

• Facilitate group formation according to the verified program participants list and beneficiary registration.

• Organize and facilitate orientation and training courses as needed

• Provide inputs and guidance to Program participants to assess the needs of the community and develop the community action plan

• Implement and deliver the activities at ward/union level as per work plan

• Organize monthly, bi-monthly coordination meeting with different stakeholders at ward/ union and upazila level

• Maintain liaison with local actors and institutions to create scope for diversion, referral and inclusion in social safety-net program

• Organize and facilitate courtyard meeting at union/ ward level

• Organize and support to different day observance

• Prepare the case stories

• Prepare monthly work plan along with progress report and present in coordination meeting

• Provide support to program personnel as required

• Perform additional tasks as and when assigned by the project
