Job Responsibilities:
∎ With inputs from UNICEF technical team, the Communication for Development Coordinator will implement a Community mobilization and advocacy strategy, a detailed project description along with a detailed implementation plan for the program for operating education advocacy, social awareness, and media campaign.
∎ Identify Community mobilization and advocacy issues important for implementation; with input from the UNICEF team, design activities according to project needs.
∎ Provide regular support and supervision to all Community mobilization and advocacy components.
∎ Assist in developing different training courses and training materials for the project in the areas of education advocacy and communications.
∎ Assist in the design and development of behavior change communication and education advocacy materials based on the needs and concerns.
∎ Organize and conduct training courses, workshops, and refreshers for field personnel.
∎ Organize IPT group for performing different kinds of shows in the project area.
∎ Assess materials needs for purchase; send requisitions for procurement of goods and services.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in a timely manner for project area as required.
∎ Liaise with relevant NGOs, GoB officials, and education-related organizations for effective education advocacy and communications program implementation and enhancing quality.
∎ Advocate and disseminate new information, lessons learned, government’s new policies and programs, etc. to the appropriate forums when needed.
∎ Provide orientation to field personnel on the education advocacy and communications program as needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Candidates should have at least 5 years of working experience in the field of related activities.
∎ Able to mobilize the community and produce periodic reports.
∎ Having a valid motorcycle-driving license and good skill in report writing in English and Bengali.
∎ Basic computer skills in MS Office.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 60,000 per month, Consolidated and other admissible benefits as per organizational policy as well as the project.
