Job Context:
∎ The Leprosy Mission International-Bangladesh (TLMI-B) is a member of The Leprosy Mission (TLM) which is an International Christian faith-based organization, committed to change the lives of persons affected by leprosy. It is working in Bangladesh since 1991 as a partner of Government of Bangladesh to eliminate the cause and consequences of leprosy to achieve its vision `leprosy defeated, lives transformed`. Also, it works for the social rehabilitation of people affected by leprosy, disability and social exclusion. Currently, TLMI-B invites applications from the interested and eligible candidates for its project `Dhaka Community Based Rehabilitation` project for the mentioned position.
∎ Job Based: Gazipur (frequent travel to the other districts).

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Facilitate group formation among individuals with leprosy or other general disabilities.
∎ Assist the group leader to develop their capacity to carry out their responsibilities independently.
∎ Visit the house of group members and follow up the members trained.
∎ Assist the Area Management Committee (AMC) meeting in every month and also follow up and assist the activities of CRP.
∎ Assist in equalizing (valuing men, women and disable equally) group members and resolving group conflicts and facilitate group meetings according to the guidelines.
∎ Help the group to understand and claim their disability rights and utilize their access to health care.
∎ Encourage group members to save money on a regular basis and practice income generation.
∎ Organize training and facilitate at field level.
∎ Communicate with GO and NGOs to build up the relationship.
∎ Encourage SHG members to send their children to school, collect and share with project the educational information about children assisted by TLMI-B Project.
∎ Work with AMC/ SHG/ Churches to select children from total DCBRP working area.
∎ Liaise with educational institutes related to supported children
∎ Collect academic report of supported children
∎ Arrange events with children and parents
∎ Visit children and parents to follow up educational growth of children

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 year working experience in facilitation activities and/ or related field. Knowledge and experience on Leprosy, disability and community empowerment process will be given preference;
∎ Capable in writing reports in Bangla (English is preferable).
∎ Good presentation, facilitation and note-taking skills;
∎ Committed to work for Children, disabled people affected by leprosy and marginalized people
∎ Willing to work in slum and project areas.
∎ Willing to work under pressure and willing to abide by TLMI-B policies, mission, vision and values.

Salary: Tk. 19020 (Monthly)
