Responsibilities & Context:
Assisting senior chefs with food preparation, cleaning, and cooking in a specific station.
Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, cutting fruits and vegetables, and seasoning meats for production.
Station Support: Assisting the Chef de Partie with basic cooking tasks, such as preparing sauces, salads, or cooking breakfast items.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining a clean, sanitized workstation, adhering to food safety guidelines, and completing temperature logs.
Inventory Management: Receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries, and reporting low stock levels.
Service Support: Assisting with plating and presenting dishes to company standards during service hours.
Experience: Previous experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or a culinary arts certification.
Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of basic culinary techniques.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50–55 lbs.
Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
