Experience:
Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of operating systems on Linux and Windows.
Good communication skills and also requirement collection skills to prepare a cloud solution.
Experience with cloud-native development and DevOps practices.
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases is a plus.
Strong familiarity with systems engineering, cloud computing and relevant programming languages.
Position Overview:
The Cloud Engineer is responsible for ensuring the success of our customers by providing exceptional technical support for Cloud Products, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products. You'll work closely with customers to understand their unique needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide expert guidance on best practices for utilising our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for a wide range of cloud products, including: Compute (Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes Engine), Storage (Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Big Query), Networking (Cloud VPN, Cloud Load Balancing), Data Analytics (Dataflow, Dataproc), Machine Learning (AI Platform), CDN etc.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to GCP workloads.
• Assist customers in optimizing their GCP applications for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability.
• Design the HA / DR strategies setup process, services, and tools around the cloud oversee the build of the environment, and execute the migration plan.
• Architect and implement DevSecOps processes and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Chef etc.
• Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM), VPC networking, firewalls, and security policies.
• Ensure cloud architecture meets availability, scalability, performance, and security requirements.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support cloud-native application delivery.
• Stay up to date with GCP product releases and recommend innovative solutions.
