Responsibilities & Context:
1. Teaching and Instruction
Plan, develop, and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and clinical instruction to nursing students.
Facilitate both classroom and practical learning experiences.
Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical settings.
Ensure alignment of teaching methods with nursing curriculum and accreditation standards.
2. Clinical Supervision
Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospitals or healthcare settings.
Guide students in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world patient care.
Monitor student-patient interactions to ensure safety and professionalism.
Provide timely feedback on clinical performance and skills.
3. Curriculum Development
Participate in the development, review, and revision of the nursing curriculum.
Incorporate evidence-based practices and current nursing standards into course content.
Help design and update course materials, manuals, and assessment tools.
4. Student Support and Evaluation
Mentor and counsel students on academic and professional issues.
Maintain records of student attendance, evaluations, and grades.
Conduct assessments such as practical exams, case studies, and competency checklists.
5. Administrative Duties
Attend faculty meetings, curriculum committees, and department planning sessions.
Assist with accreditation and licensing documentation as needed.
Collaborate with other faculty and clinical staff for program planning and improvement.
6. Professional Development
Stay current with trends, innovations, and regulations in nursing education and practice.
Participate in workshops, seminars, and continuing education programs.
Contribute to nursing research or publications if in an academic setting.
7. Compliance and Safety
Ensure that clinical activities comply with institutional, legal, and ethical standards.
Educate students on infection control, patient confidentiality and safety procedures.
