Responsibilities & Context:

1. Teaching and Instruction

  • Plan, develop, and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and clinical instruction to nursing students.

  • Facilitate both classroom and practical learning experiences.

  • Evaluate student performance in classroom and clinical settings.

  • Ensure alignment of teaching methods with nursing curriculum and accreditation standards.

2. Clinical Supervision

  • Supervise students during clinical rotations in hospitals or healthcare settings.

  • Guide students in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world patient care.

  • Monitor student-patient interactions to ensure safety and professionalism.

  • Provide timely feedback on clinical performance and skills.

3. Curriculum Development

  • Participate in the development, review, and revision of the nursing curriculum.

  • Incorporate evidence-based practices and current nursing standards into course content.

  • Help design and update course materials, manuals, and assessment tools.

4. Student Support and Evaluation

  • Mentor and counsel students on academic and professional issues.

  • Maintain records of student attendance, evaluations, and grades.

  • Conduct assessments such as practical exams, case studies, and competency checklists.

5. Administrative Duties

  • Attend faculty meetings, curriculum committees, and department planning sessions.

  • Assist with accreditation and licensing documentation as needed.

  • Collaborate with other faculty and clinical staff for program planning and improvement.

6. Professional Development

  • Stay current with trends, innovations, and regulations in nursing education and practice.

  • Participate in workshops, seminars, and continuing education programs.

  • Contribute to nursing research or publications if in an academic setting.

7. Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure that clinical activities comply with institutional, legal, and ethical standards.

  • Educate students on infection control, patient confidentiality and safety procedures.
