Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in function of community-based child protection mechanism;
∎ Ensure community bases community interventions implemented consistent with and aligned with the Bangladeshi CP system and adheres to the main inter-agency standardized operating procedures and tools (CPMS standard 2 and standard 16 guidance);
∎ Initiate daily field visits, focus group discussions, participatory assessments, key informant interviews in agreement with Tdh information collection and management plans and standards, ensuring appropriate treatment of sensitive information;
∎ Assess individual protection issues captured or identified during daily activities and make appropriate referrals for services to humanitarian or other actors as per the referral pathway or best practices;
∎ Identify cases in need of urgent response and directly follow-up/accompany affected individuals to services providers when needed to ensure access to services;
∎ Work with supervisor to create weekly work-plans and prioritization of tasks;
∎ Ensure targets are met under the approved work plans (includes responsibility for the achievement of work plans for protection assistants)
∎ Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of any protection data collected (hard and soft copies);
∎ Complete daily reporting on findings.
∎ Foster and maintain excellent working relationships with all stake-holders, and participate in daily coordination with humanitarian and all other local and international actors;
∎ Liaise closely with protection actors in the field and other humanitarian partners to ensure an understanding of the overall issues; an understanding that shall be used to guide weekly work plans
∎ Support in planning, organizing and delivering capacity building plan & community-based child protection plan and ensure that the plan is revised on regular basis to include refresher trainings and workshops;
∎ Provide technical guidance on activities to the committees in assign project locations;
∎ With the coordination of CB Training Officers, PSS team, CM team ensure the establishment and implementation of work plans, setting clear targets and activity plans per project's sites;
∎ Map on-site and external specialized services in the community and make sure that the mapping document is updated on regular basis to facilitate its access by CBCPC;
∎ Maintain and update the information on Community Based Child Protection Mechanism and ensure timely reporting;
∎ Assist to Prepared reports, according to the project document (monthly reports, quarterly reports, donor reports, final report);
∎ Ensure appropriate collaboration with all relevant stakeholders e.g. camp competent authority, community of practices etc.;
∎ Ensure regular communication with the line Supervisor on activities' updates, achievements and challenges via meetings, reports and ad hoc communication upon request and needs;
∎ Participate in field assessment whenever requested by the line Supervisor.
∎ Child Protection
∎ Promote that all Field activities are on line with, child protection principles
∎ Ensure the project activities are integrated in the Bangladeshi child protection system and humanitarian coordination practices and guidelines
∎ Identify and propose trainings for her/his team related to child protection principles and best practices
∎ Report serious cases of abuse on children identified by the project team to the management team. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
∎ Coordination and representation
∎ Conduct regular field visits
∎ Coordinate with CBCPC and other Tdh sectors to ensure mainstreaming and implementation of standardized activities;
∎ Liaise with humanitarian actors, authorities and community in and outside the camps to increase quality and effectiveness of case-management service provision;
∎ Participate in the meetings held at location in her/his field of expertise whenever pertinent and necessary
∎ Other
∎ Agree to comply with Tdh Global Code of Conduct and ensures Child Safeguarding standards, PSEA, SHA are upheld.
∎ Adhere to and ensure the team under her/his responsibility follows Tdh administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 years' experience working with children in need of Protection
∎ Previous experience with a child protection organization is desirable
∎ Good knowledge on community-based child protection system
∎ Good knowledge of the child protection system in Bangladesh
∎ Skills:
∎ This position requires technical and methodological competences on community-based child protection mechanism.
∎ Required qualities: proactive, organized, good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Languages:
∎ Good in English and Bangla
∎ Chittagong dialect is an asset.
∎ Agree to comply with Tdh Code of Conduct and promote Child Safeguarding policy, Policy on the Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and the Policy on (Sexual) Harassment and Abuse of Authority.
∎ Report serious cases of abuse on children that she/he would be aware of in Tdh's intervention locations. Strict confidentiality must be respected.
∎ Adhere to and enforce current administrative and logistical regulations and procedures.
∎ Tdh intervenes without any affiliation for politics, religion or financial profit. He/she will direct his or her activities and engagements without preoccupation of political, racial or religious affiliation

Salary: Tk. 33569 - 53990 (Monthly)
