Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s degree in social/political sciences (or other relevant degree) or in a humanitarian assistance-related field. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Location: Based at CARE Cox’s Bazar Regional Office.
∎ Duration: Duration of the contract will be for 03 years
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10 years of progressively responsible experience in international development project management (USAID program management preferred); previous Chief of Party, Deputy Chief of Party, or senior management experience in disaster risk reduction and humanitarian assistance.
∎ Proven exceptional leadership in the design, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of similar-sized international donor-supported programs, with skills in strategic planning and thinking, management, supervision and budgeting, and experience managing complex activities involving coordination with multiple program partner institutions.
∎ Substantial project management experience (planning, monitoring, evaluation) in humanitarian context, including in a leading position.
∎ Demonstrated skills building and maintaining relationships with governments, donors, other donor-funded projects and stakeholders, local organizations, and partners.
∎ Previous experience with the culture and context of South Asia/ Bangladesh is strongly preferred.
∎ Experience in narrative and financial reporting on complex projects to international donors.
∎ Demonstrated commitment to principles of Gender Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, as evidenced in previous management positions and programming. Demonstrated commitment to PSHEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Harassment, and Abuse).
∎ Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing staff and teams. Track record of strong commitment to sharing knowledge, documenting experiences, supporting creative initiatives, and sharing credit.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; excellent demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills.
