Job Context:
∎ An International club is seeking to hire a new Chef. Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. You will also be in charge of ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
∎ Ultimately, you`ll prepare and deliver a complete menu that delights our guests.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare, cook and serve food as per order.
∎ Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales.
∎ Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients.
∎ Cook food in a timely manner.
∎ Delegate tasks to kitchen staff.
∎ Inform wait staff about daily specials.
∎ Ensure appealing plate presentation.
∎ Cook the exact number of items ordered by each guest, working on several different orders simultaneously.
∎ Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
∎ Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
∎ Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by guest, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
∎ Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
∎ Prepare foods designated for cooking.
∎ Take delivery of supplies in absence of Chef or Sous. Chef.
∎ Communicate with other staff associates of the kitchen team and food service staff.
∎ Work cooperatively with other associates of the kitchen team.
∎ Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
∎ Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
∎ Follow & implement the kitchen safety regulations.
∎ Monitor food stock and place orders.
∎ Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items.
∎ Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
∎ Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
∎ entails preparing, seasoning, and decorating meals and dishes in ways that suit the requirements or orders that are placed by customers.
∎ monitors and/or supervises the preparation and administration of meals from the kitchen by other staff members. He/she also specializes in the preparation of specific meals like salads, desserts, and pastries, involves managing and supervising the kitchen staff to make sure that food is prepared as fast as possible and that a standard taste-level is maintained.
∎ He does not only cook food but also leads other kitchen workers, and determines the quantity of food that will be needed within a particular time frame.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook in hospitality industry in both native & abroad at least 7 years.
∎ The nature of the job is one that requires that any individual involved must be able and willing to work at odd hours, like very early in the morning to prepare meals for the day, and late at night to clean-up after the day's work.
∎ Excellent time management abilities.
∎ Physical fitness to be on your feet for the duration of your shift.
∎ Monitor product freshness and rotate out old products based on a schedule created by the restaurant.
∎ To be non-discriminatory, honest, reliable and gender sensitive.
∎ High school diploma or equivalent; college degree and food safety training is a plus.
∎ Must have computer skills, internet browsing & office suites.
∎ Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English and Bengali.
