∎ Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
∎ Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
∎ Knowledge of best cooking practices.
∎ Fluency in spoken and written English and Bengali

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare, cook and serve food as per order
∎ Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and kitchen stuff.
∎ Cook the exact number of items ordered by each guests, working on several different orders simultaneously.
∎ Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
∎ Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.
∎ Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by guest, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.
∎ Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
∎ Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking.
∎ Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.
∎ Take delivery of supplies in absence of Chef or Sous. Chef.
∎ Schedule activities and equipment use with supervisor, using information about daily menus to help coordinate cooking times.
∎ Communicate with other staff members of the kitchen team and food service staff
∎ Work cooperatively with other members of the kitchen team
∎ Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
∎ Cost consciousness in terms of equipment, food ingredients, staff duty scheduling to avoid un-necessary overtime etc.
