Position:
Channel Sales Manager – Solar Industry

Key Responsibilities

1. Channel Development

  • Identify, recruit, and develop new agents, distributors, dealers, and resellers.

  • Establish and expand regional channel networks and partnership ecosystems.

  • Evaluate potential partners based on business qualifications, financial stability, market coverage, and sales capabilities.

  • Negotiate commercial terms, cooperation policies, and partnership agreements.

  • Build sustainable and mutually beneficial relationships with channel partners.

2. Channel Management & Enablement

  • Design and implement a tiered channel management structure (General Agent, Level-1 Distributor, Level-2 Distributor, etc.).

  • Conduct regular product, technical, and sales training for channel partners.

  • Provide sales enablement tools, including pricing policies, promotional materials, presentations, and sales scripts.

  • Monitor partner performance and develop improvement plans.

  • Enhance channel engagement, sales activity, and delivery capabilities.

3. Sales Target Achievement

  • Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans.

  • Monitor channel sales performance, inventory levels, shipments, and payment collections.

  • Support channel partners in closing key projects and strategic opportunities.

  • Ensure achievement of assigned revenue, profit, and market-share targets.

  • Prepare sales forecasts and business reports for management review.

4. Market Expansion

  • Collect and analyze market intelligence, industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activities.

  • Develop and implement regional Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies.

  • Participate in industry exhibitions, roadshows, seminars, and investment promotion events.

  • Identify and develop key accounts, EPC contractors, developers, and industrial clients.

  • Expand the company's presence and brand influence within target markets.

5. Business & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, technical support, and finance teams.

  • Coordinate contract execution, product delivery, and after-sales service activities.

  • Resolve operational issues affecting channel partners and customers.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and commercial procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in channel sales, distributor management, or business development, preferably within the solar, renewable energy, electrical, or energy storage industry.

  • Strong network of distributors, EPC companies, installers, or industry partners is preferred.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territories.
