We are looking for Five energetic, honest, and target driven individuals to join our growing team as Cattle Purchase & Sales Officers.
Job Summary
The Cattle Purchase & Sales Officer will be responsible for sourcing quality cattle, assessing livestock, negotiating purchases, identifying buyers, facilitating sales, and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, traders, farms, and market stakeholders.
The role is highly field oriented and ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with livestock farmers and the agricultural value chain.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Activities
Identify suitable cattle from farmers, farms, and livestock markets.
Assess cattle quality, age, breed, health condition, and market value.
Negotiate and execute cattle purchases.
Verify ownership and required documentation.
Maintain accurate procurement records.
Sales Activities
Identify potential buyers, traders, farms, and institutional customers.
Facilitate cattle sales and transactions.
Negotiate pricing and sales terms.
Ensure smooth coordination between buyers and sellers.
Support achievement of monthly sales targets.
Farmer Engagement
Build strong relationships with farmers and livestock stakeholders.
Educate farmers about company services including insurance, financing, farm management tools, and market access solutions.
Assist in onboarding farmers to the platform.
Market Intelligence
Monitor livestock prices and market trends.
Collect competitor and market information.
Share market insights with management.
Reporting
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and customer interactions.
Ensure compliance with company processes and guidelines.
