Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work closely with the Unit Leader Environmental Stewardship to provide expert input into the development of C&A's operational strategy for Climate Change in the supply chain, including our commitment to Science Based Targets
∎ Manage the daily operations of the environmental stewardship programme
∎ Identify opportunities to address key environmental topics such as water and waste
∎ Lead the engagement with relevant industry collaborations to represent C&A's interests in environmental
∎ sustainability (e.g. SAC, Apparel Impact Institute, Fashion Pact, IFC etc)
∎ Create a holistic environmental sustainability scoring system and oversea its integration into Sourcing
∎ Rollout an environmental data collection system which can obtain data and track performance against KPIs
∎ Update and oversea the Environment implementation framework governing C&A's environmental
∎ programme, create and maintain a series of SOPs detailing operational procedures
∎ Responsible for prioritising C&A's supply chain engagement for environmental sustainability
∎ Subject matter expert in energy, climate change and other environmental topics such as water and waste
∎ Contact point for key internal colleagues (compliance, sourcing, buying, quality) on topics relating to environmental sustainability
∎ Responsible for overseeing third party providers whom support C&A in implementing the environment programme
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5-10 years of working in environmental sustainability or CSR, brand experience preferred
∎ Master's Degree in environmental science or similar
∎ Excellent project management skills with a proven track record of delivering a global sustainability program
∎ Team management experience within a matrix organisation
∎ Experience with textile manufacturing, specifically wet processing
∎ Prior experience supporting the implementation of an environmental supply chain strategy
∎ Excellent project management skills, including budget, timeline and delive
