Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably in Business Administration, Development Studies, International Relations, English, Communications or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in project proposal writing in the NGO/INGO sector preferable
  • Familiarity with institutional donors such as FCDO, GAC, SIDA, EKN, the European Union, and other development partners will be an advantage but not essential
  • Freshers are also eligible to apply with right kind of soft skills, attitude and eagerness to learn more

Required Skills:

  • Reading and critical writing skills with attention to details using logic
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and ability to explain
  • Eagerness to learn project proposal, concept note, grant application development and donor communications
  • Demonstrate interest in proposal development processes and donor compliance requirements.
  • Academic knowledge of logical frameworks, results-based management, and Intervention design.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver quality work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with donor portals and online grant submission systems
  • Eagerness to learn and respect towards organizational values, gender equality, child protection, and safeguarding policies

The role of Business Development Officer is to assist the firm in submitting proposals for securing donor fundings, grants, consultancy services etc. Familiarity with development sector projects and activities will be added value but not essential. Willingness to read and analyze extensive grant/funding documents, critical writing ability and preparation of grant documents are essential skills we are looking for. The role entitles editing, and coordinating quality proposals, concept notes, grant applications, and donor reports for funding and partnership opportunities for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Development

  • Research funding opportunities from foundations, bilateral donors, multilateral agencies, corporations, and international NGOs.
  • Assist in developing high-quality concept notes, grant proposals, expressions of interest (EOIs), and funding applications.
  • Coordinate proposal development processes across departments.
  • Ensure proposals align with organizational strategy, donor priorities, and project objectives.
  • Eager to learn logical frameworks, theories of change, intervention design, and results chain etc. relevant to development projects

Donor Landscaping

  • Guided identification of and analyze potential donors and funding opportunities.
  • Maintain a database of donors, funding opportunities, and submission deadlines.
  • Monitor donor trends, priorities, and funding mechanisms.

Cross Department Coordination

  • Maintain liaison with program, finance, M&E, and technical teams to collect necessary information.
  • Coordinate budget development with finance staff.
  • Facilitate proposal review meetings and internal approvals.

Writing and Editing

  • Assist in writing clear, logical, and donor-compliant narratives.
  • Edit and proofread proposals, reports, and donor communications.
  • Ensure consistency in language, formatting, branding, and messaging.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Review donor guidelines and ensure compliance with submission requirements.
  • Ensure all supporting documents are complete and submitted on time.
  • Maintain proposal templates, organizational profiles, and capability statements.


Job Other Benifits:
    Salary and Others: Consolidated remuneration Tk. 35,000 (per month). 15 days paid leave excluding public holidays and training opportunities for career development. Probation Period: 04 months (Job confirmation/ extension of probation period /Job discontinuation based on performance evaluation of the probation period)
