Experience:

• 2 to 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Shrimp, Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Poultry, Fisheries, Farming, Livestock, Animal/Plant Breeding, Hatchery, Dairy

• Diploma in Automobile
• Diploma in Engineering

• 2 to 5 years

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably in a fleet management environment.·        

• Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical components, and braking systems.·        

• Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and develop effective repair solutions.·        

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with drivers, workshop personnel, and management.·        

• Sound knowledge in BRTA rules and regulations.

Vehicle Maintenance: ·        

• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on company vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines and established schedules.·        
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on vehicles.·        
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments, including oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid level checks.·        
• Coordinate major repairs with external workshops, ensuring quality and timely completion. 

Fleet Management: ·        

• Allocation of transports - indoor/outdoor.·        
• Maintain detailed records of vehicle service history, including repair details, parts used, and maintenance costs.·        
• Monitor fuel consumption and identify areas for improvement.·        
• Track vehicle registration, insurance, and fitness certificates to ensure compliance.·        
• Analyze fleet data to identify trends (fuel) and make recommendations for vehicle acquisition or replacement strategies.·        
• Regular Renewal of documentation/license/registration on time.·        
• Checking the bill voucher of transports/drivers/helpers.·        
• Leave management.·        
• Hire transport on a need basis.·        
• Evaluation of driver’s performance and transport utilization. 

Safety Compliance: ·        

• Ensure all vehicles are in safe operating condition and comply with road safety regulations.·        
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and identify potential safety hazards.·        
• Educate drivers on proper vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices. 

Budget Management:·        

• Prepare and manage maintenance budgets for the vehicle fleet.·        
• Negotiate repair costs (work request cases) with external service providers.·        
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.  

Technical Expertise:·        

• Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques. ·        
• Understand and interpret vehicle schematics and technical manuals.·        
• Evaluate new vehicle models and recommend potential purchases based on performance and operational needs.
