∎ Should have at least 2 years' experience in the same position.
∎ (Physical & Chemical Testing Lab - Factory or 3rd Party Lab)/ Dyeing Production Unit (Testing Lab)
∎ Working experience in Testing Lab or Dyeing Production Floor.
∎ Working experience with buyers like, H&M, KIABI, LIDL, NKD, PEPCO, ALDI, Celio*, Best & Less, Bestseller, Tom Tailor, C&A, Texebo
∎ Energetic, confident and proactive. Intellectually sound.
∎ Good numerical, logical, analytical, goal oriented, critical thinking & problem solving ability.
∎ Should have sound technical knowledge on testing.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise the subordinates and their work in the Lab, following the Lab Test Manual norms of the brand/ client.
∎ Responsible for re-assessment of every test result done by Officer/Assistant Officer, as per Buyer’s approved norms indicated in Lab Test Manual
∎ Maintain proper implementation of the instruments in evaluating the fabric quality parameters – physical and chemical, stipulated as per ISO/ AATCC test method.
∎ Maintain batchwise record keeping of all fabric dye-lots and garment in-line picked samples.
∎ Calibrate the lab test machineries through 3rd party authorized firm
∎ Maintain the test procedures and ensure proper keeping of all batch wise specimens after specific test method.
∎ Have sound knowledge on testing norms – ISO/ BS/ AATCC methods
∎ Coordinate all testing procedures in a manner that's most efficient.
∎ Follow-up decisions of accepting or rejecting any test result and generate and deliver report to concern department through e-mails and proper record keeping.
∎ As per buyer’s Lab Test Manual, maintain the Color fastness test report and standards for textile fabric and garment, to external agents like washing, water, dry and wet rubbing, light, perspiration, saliva, sublimation etc.
∎ Maintain batch wise records of the fabric & garment through test procedures conducted including domestic wash test (1 to 5 wash), pilling, abrasion resistance, bursting strength, dimensional stability, fabric pH and many more test parameters indicated in buyer’s Lab Test Manual.
∎ Maintain qualitative and quantitative analysis of fibre composition.
∎ Have ability to maintain a proper conditioning room, replicating 3rd party lab standard.
∎ Ensuring record keeping of dimensional stability of fabric and garments, appearance test on garments/fabrics, bowing/skewness.
∎ Maintain safety, quality and compliance activities in workplace and maintain strong team member of accreditation of program
∎ Have experience with accreditation program from BV, Eurofins, SGS, ITS
∎ Carry out any other jobs assigned by the management
