Responsibilities & Context:
Supervise daily laboratory operations and guide junior staff
Ensure proper sample handling, registration, and tracking.
Perform and oversee advanced physical, chemical, and colorfastness tests (ISO, ASTM, AATCC, BS, GB/T).
Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results. Review and approve test reports.
Prepare detailed test summaries and communicate results with QA, merchandising, and buyers.
Assist in buyer audits and respond to technical queries.
Monitor calibration schedules and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 and buyer compliance.
Maintain test records, logbooks, and verification documents.
Ensure lab is audit-ready at all times.
Lead investigations into test failures.
Provide corrective and preventive action plans.
Keep updated with testing standards and customer requirements.
Ensure safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
