Responsibilities & Context:

Implementation of the project in target location/s- 60%

  • Responsible for all technical activities, and climate adaptive activities at assigned location/s under the supervision of the Project Focal / Supervisor.

  • Organize the project inception/Exit meeting with different-level stakeholder.

  • Organize CSO consultation meeting.

  • Organize Budget meeting UP and City level.

  • Organize learning sharing meeting with relevant stakeholders.

  • Ensure the selection of beneficiaries according to criteria defined in the proposal and validate it by respective authorities.

  • Conduction LAPA, DM, and CRA training at Union and Upazila/ City level.

  • Organize Open budget sharing meeting

  • Implementation of Co-financing activity at the Project area.

  • Organize Upzila/City level Meeting workshop

  • Organize Advocacy and awareness sessions.

  • Conduction Youth Training on DRR and CCA and LLA

  • Organized SoD orientation at DMCs level

  • Formation and activation DMCS at Union level

  • Ensure inclusion of gender, persons with disabilities, elderly and other vulnerable communities according to the IR Principle and guideline during participant selection and other steps of implementation.

  • Implementation of the assigned project’s activities

  • Prepare field movement and technical activity plan, approve it with the supervisor and ensure strict alignment with the plan.

  • Support / Participate in different need assessments, impact evaluations, post-distribution monitoring (PDM)/ need assessment, Evaluation etc.

  • Ensure other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.

  • Maintain coordination and cooperation with the other team.

  • Engage in effective community mobilization within IR guidelines and compliances.

  • Be aligned with the agreed time, cost and quality constrains of the project to enable delivery of the agreed outputs and/or benefits.

  • Support to ensure Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities.

  • Implementation intervention based on Nature-based solution, RRAP and LLA scheme.

Ensure effective monitoring of project intervention- 5%

  • Regular monitoring of DRR-CCA activities at beneficiary, Ward level.

  • Monitor the working progress & ensure the quality of project activities, materials & inform project focal / supervisor.

Capacity building initiatives-10%

  • Capacity development training facilitation for all the project participants and DMCS and CBOS leaders

  • Training follow up, hands on training at HH level and training refreshers

  • Supportive supervision of subordinate staffs and CBO/SHG/REG leaders to carry out their routine work effectively.

  • Ensure effective reporting, appropriate archiving and visibility according to the project need-10%

  • Prepare CRA , LLA and DM plan Reporting

  • Prepare Summary reporting of LLA, CRA

  • Support supervisor to prepare monthly, quarterly, interim and final narrative report as per proposal and project need.

  • Assist supervisor to prepare monthly progress report.

  • Prepare, approve, organize and preserve all project related documents and ensure sending to integrated Programme department within due time.

  • Prepare or collect media & communication materials (Photographs, Case Study etc.) required to ensure project visibility.

  • Assist in archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guideline.

Ensures comprehensive and effective communication, coordination and advocacy with different stakeholders-10%

  • Ensure effective networking and coordination with Union/Ward and upazila/City office.

  • Establish and maintain an effective coordination mechanism with key stakeholders of the project.

  • Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in coordination meetings at Union and City level.

  • Assist in the phase-out meeting and lesson learned workshop for further organizational development.

  • Collect successful project completion letter form relevant authorities.

Others-5%

  • Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.

  • Support to Implementation of the Emergency projects as per IRCO requirements.

  • Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.

  • Maintain the stock book, inventory, and another essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner.

  • Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.

  • Take initiatives to ensure the security of project resources, staff and participants during the intervention.

  • Ensure required logistics are in placed timely.

  • Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.

  • Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
